Q & A with the Artist

We are proud to showcase a variety of different kinds of performing arts at the fringe.

What is your show? What kind of performance is it? What is it about?

What's the rush? is an evening length performance that blends live dance with film. We're going on a road trip, but this show is about the journey, not the destination. We invite you to slow down, enjoy the little things, and find the joy in the moment.

Fringe festivals are a place for art at all levels of creation. Where are you at in your process?

Is this a first draft? A previously produced piece? An experimental show? Or something else?

We are currently in the creation process; experimenting with dance film to seamlessly blend with our live performance. We will be staging previously performed pieces, and incorporating that movement into our new choreography to create a new and unique performance.

Why did you submit your show to Omaha Fringe?

We believe in making professional, high quality modern dance performances accessible to the community. Omaha Fringe continues to support artists and provide a platform for a wide variety of works. We are honored to be back for our third appearance in the Omaha Fringe!

What are you hoping audiences will experience when they see your performance?

What can audiences expect to take away?

We want to capture that feeling of nostalgia that comes with a summer road trip, that sense of lighthearted freedom. We find ourselves constantly busy, and stressed, working for something that we might never achieve. We are hoping to remind ourselves, and audiences, to breathe and embrace the journey. The destination isn't as important as what happens along the way.
