Q & A with the Artist

We are proud to showcase a variety of different kinds of performing arts at the fringe.

What is your show? What kind of performance is it? What is it about?

My show, "Paul Pape is Failing Creatively," is a one-man show that combines elements of storytelling, humor, and heartfelt reflection. It's an exploration of the human experience, focusing on the power of embracing failure as a means to learn, grow, and innovate.

Fringe festivals are a place for art at all levels of creation. Where are you at in your process?

Is this a first draft? A previously produced piece? An experimental show? Or something else?

This is a show in progress. New to a theatre stage. Part of the story that I tell when publicly speaking or on podcasts.

Why did you submit your show to Omaha Fringe?

Omaha Fringe is a good place to test the waters on whether or not a show has legs. It's also my hometown. I also produced a show there last year and had a great time.

What are you hoping audiences will experience when they see your performance?

What can audiences expect to take away?

My aim is to create an moment where people feel connected, inspired, and empowered to view their own setbacks in a new light. Audiences can expect to take away a fresh perspective on failure, viewing it as an opportunity for self-discovery and innovation rather than a roadblock to success.
